Hay un viejo aforismo medieval en Werner que reza… “Ex ovis pravis prava creatur avis.” lo que vendria a ser “De un huevo malo nace un pajaro malo”
Esto lo hice nuevamente detras de un volante de una feria de ropa vintage… cosas de Palermo… supongo que con “ropa vintage” quisieron decir “ropa que compro en el mercado de salvacion por kilo y se las vendo a las retrasadas indie que se visten con la misma estetica que mi abuela y estan dispuestas a pagar cualquier boludes por la basura que les doy”, pero esta claro que “ropa vintage” es mas practico, mas corto y mas amigable comercialmente hablando.

Como en la vida misma.

Hace mucho que no subo nada asi que voy a postear estas tres ilustraciones que hice hace un tiempo, un poco mas alejado de lo que suelo hacer en general…
Nuevamente en esa accion de causa y efecto… poner musica, apoyar la mano con la bic sobre un papel y dejarlo fluir.. Enumera las canciones que evocaron cada ilustracion porqu emas alla de que estas no tengan nada que ver en cuanto a lo figurativo, son la esencia de estos dibujos, el material en bruto… yo creo que me fui a la mierda y esto no se entiende, pero no importa, yo lo entiendo.

Al no tener nuevo material para subir… solo para subir, porqu ematerial nuevo hay, pero son diseños de tattoos que sus dueños no desean que sean vistos por obvios motivos… y porque otros estan siendo guardados par aun proyecto especial del que ya sabran pronto… tendremos mas dibujos viejos que no estaban en la pagina…
Siempre la influencia musical resulta muy importante en mis trabajos y en este caso de la mano de Death Cab For Cutie.
Como muchos otros dibujos este tambien fue una especie de cable a tierra, ya saben, eso de exteriorizar y bla bla bla, es natural… estas cosas salidas de las entrañas suelen ser muy sinceras…

My Heart Is A Soldier.

Taba revisando mis dibujos viejos buscando algo para subir y encontre este que tiene algo asi como año y medio… es loco como uno vuelve atras en el tiempo con cosas que lo transportan en el tiempo, conmigo son los dibujos, supongo que todos tiene sus cosas para hacer estos viajes en el tiempo…

Y este dibujo lo quiero, le tengo cariño… mas alla d elos resultados, sino por el lugar del que salio. Cuando los tiempos malos llegan creo que es importante ponerse el casco y pelear, enfrentarse a la realidad fusil en mano y tomar las riendas de la vida, peleando por lo que uno ama. A veces a los tiros, a veces con paciencia, “hay un tiempo para vivir y un tiempo para morir” dice Kurt Wallander siempre en las novelas de Mankell… tambien hay un tiempo calzarse el casco….

Todo esto nace de una bonita cancion, como suele suceder con muchos de mis dibujos… en este caso de una de Juliana Theory que dice asi…

Quien es Gaia?

Quien es Gaia?

Basicamente Gaia soy yo, Augusto Belmonte. Cuando no soy Augusto Belmonte justamente. Porque cuando soy Augusto Belmonte soy librero, tengo 32 años y soy argentino. Pero cuando soy Gaia ya no soy librero, soy dibujador, si, dibujador, no dibujante, no ilustrador, dibujador. Cuando soy Gaia los 32 años pueden transformarse tranquilamente en 15 o en 50, y dejo de ser argentino, porque sabemos que el arte no conoce de tontas fronteras politicas.
Gaia no hace mucho mas que dibujar y crear, las dos cosas por igual y en simetricas dosis. Convengamos que tampoco es dificil para alguien que solo existe cuando agarra una birome y un papel… Este muchacho (o muchacha, porque a veces tambien intenta trascender su genero) no tiene formacion academica, a pesar de mis esfuerzos por lograr que tome clases de pintura o dibujo el se niega y reniega transformando mis sugerencias de una formacion artistica en malintencionadas provocaciones para perder su espontaneidad. Yo, Augusto, no estoy para cuidar de la inmadurez de mi alter ego, “que se arregle solo” me dije. Y solo fue creando personajes, fue creando mundos, fue plasmando en un papel todo lo que yo talvez no podia plasmar o transmitir de otra manera.
Quien es Gaia? bueno, Gaia es un salvoconducto, un clable a tierra, una droga talvez.
Lo bueno de Gaia es que no necesita mucho para crear, con algo que manche y algo para manchar “algo va a salir” dice… y no pretende mucho mas que eso.
Por suerte estoy yo, porque a veces necesita mi ayuda aunque no lo admita. Que ayuda? El crea, el fluye mi mano, guia emociones, pero yo genero conceptos, yo investigo sobre el color, yo atiendo los pedidos y trato de interpretarlos, y obviamente yo pongo la cara ante los resultados. Alguien se tiene que encargar del trabajo sucio dicen por ahi. Pero bueno, que Gaia se encargue de soñar mientras yo, Augusto me encargo de poner los pies sobre la tierra.
Gaia no usa herramientas, para el es facil, claro que si. La mano que guia la birome es la mia y la que guia el mouse
para colorear tambien. Pero admito que siento que hacemos un buen equipo.
Quien es Gaia?
Es sencillo, Gaia es el artista que cualquiera de nosotros tenemos adentro, todos, absolutamente todos… Pero lo que Gaia no sabe es que yo, Augusto, soy tan importante como el, porque yo lo deje ser lo que es, los dos somos Gaia.
